The prototype was fitted with two screw propellors, unlike the rest which used Hotchkiss cone water Impellers. The light weight made them ideal for beach-launching and use in shallow waters. On816 was the exception and was powered by Gill Jets. 1931-51.

817 Laurence Ardern Stockport GG 1939 Barmouth, Gwynedd 1939-49. Relief 49-51. Sold as Laurence Ardern. Later The Lady Godiva/Godiva II.
835 The Gordon Warren JSW 1939 Rhyl, Denbighshire 1939-49. Relief 49-51. Sold as Welsh Maid Co3 at Conway, Wales.
836 Norman Nasmyth ROB 1940 Montrose No.2 1940-50. Relief 50-64. Sold as a yacht "Montrose". Last seen at Arran/Lamlash in 1986.
837 John Ryburn ROB 1941 Newburgh, Aberdeenshire 1941-65. Sold in Northern Ireland, used as a flower Planter at Manor House Hotel, Enniskillen. Destroyed 2009.
